His presentation will expand our Excel skills and share his insights on new methods of analyzing large data sets. Bring your questions about using Excel Dashboards and everything Excel related.

ABOUT: Charley Kyd

Charley Kyd has been a spreadsheet master for 35 years, from VisiCalc to Lotus 1-2-3, to every Windows version of Excel. He holds an MBA from the University of Washington and has been an Excel MVP since 2005. He's written four books about spreadsheets and published more than 50 articles. Ethics: When Numbers Really Matter

As individual accountants and members of IMA, we believe in ethical behavior. So, what can we do to influence and support ethical decision making and behavior in our organizations? This session will explore methods for improving individual and organizational ethics when the numbers really matter.

ABOUT: Susan K. Wolcott, PhD, CPA, CMA

Susan Wolcott is Thought Leader for professional education at CPA Canada and an educational consultant with WolcottLynch Associates in Bellevue. She works with educators around the world to support critical thinking and ethical reasoning development, competency assessment, and curriculum innovation.

Susan is co-author of Cost Management: Measuring, Monitoring, and Motivating Performance (Wiley). Along with other members of an IMA-MAS Task Force, she developed a new framework for accounting education, calling for greater focus on students’ long-run careers. Susan is currently working on a major project for CPA Canada to define accountants’ career-spanning competencies.

Susan currently teaches at Aalto University (Finland) and Indian School of Business (Hyderabad). She has won awards for teaching excellence at IE Business School (Madrid) and University of Denver. She also worked in public accounting for ten years (including Coopers & Lybrand in Portland, OR). She holds Ph.D. and MS degrees in Accounting and Information Systems from Northwestern University and a BBA in accounting from University of Portland.
